YOSHITAKA AMANO
In 1967, Amano began his career at Tatsunoko Production, where he designed characters for iconic series including Gatchaman, Casshern, Time Bokan, Yatterman, and The Adventures of Hutch the Honeybee.
He became independent in 1982, receiving the Seiun Award for four consecutive years (1983–1986). Amano gained worldwide acclaim for his character and concept designs for the Final Fantasy series, which established him as a leading figure in visual design.
Beyond games, his distinctive artistic vision shaped works such as Vampire Hunter D, Deva Zan, NY Salad, and ZAN. His illustrations and art books have been published internationally, continuing to inspire audiences around the world.
